Meet our Coaching Team

2021 Coach reveals coming soon

At SCC we work hard to create the best coaching team possible.

Our team trains throughout the year by attending workshops, re-credentialing, attending conferences and taking advantage of every opportunity put before them to help our athletes have the best possible chance at success.

What sets our Coaching Team apart from the rest?

For our team, we focus on the fact that it’s important to know every person is not perfect and that it takes hard work and dedication to learn and grow as an individual for the benefit of our athletes.

We work hard at our craft so that we can create the best opportunities and experiences possible and constantly take advantage of every opportunity we can to learn, grow and develop our techniques.

A Unique Perspective

In 2018 our coaching team also added a valuable resource that is not accessible to everyone.

SCC now has a Cheerleading Judge as one of our coaches. This opportunity allows our studio to gain valuable lessons and direct perspective from a judges point of view.

Having in house critiques from someone who Judges as part of their career is a unique opportunity that will continue to help our athletes grow and develop their skills, allowing our teams to have an even better chance for success.

She has Coached and choreographed both Cheerleading and Dance for over 10 years, achieving National and International Titles in Pom, Cheerleading and Stunting.

Her passion and enthusiasm for the Cheer and Dance industry pushed her to open SCC in 2012 with the drive to bring the Cheerleading industry on the Sunshine Coast to the highest levels in the safest, fun and most positive environment possible.

SCC was created from the ground up with only 30 athletes in our first year, with 3 dead mats, a slopped roof that our athletes could touch and minimal equipment.

Over the past 7 years we have worked hard to learn and grow our skills, moving into our beautiful Vipers Home in 2018 with a full 8 Run Dance Floor, 9 Run Cheer Floors, custom mirrors and all the training equipment needed for a safe and successful program.

As the club owner I can't wait to continue watching our athletes grow and develop their skills and continue to provide as many opportunities for their teams to compete nationally, internationally and to create the most amazing atmosphere and environment possible.

What is your favourite thing about Cheer or Dance:

"The Tiny's. I absolutely love coaching our youngest athletes and watching how much fun they have, the silly thing they say and how hard they try. There is never a dull moment and they constantly remind me of the reason I got involved with this sport, to have fun"

 What is your favourite quote:

"Nothing in this world that's worth having comes easy"

She has become one of the most successful Hip Hop Coaches and Choreographers on the Sunshine Coast and will continue to develop our SCC Teams in Cheer, Dance and Hip Hop.

What is your favourite thing about Cheer or Dance:

"I love Cheerleading because as a coach and choreographer you can be so creative and innovative in the routines. I love change and adapting the routines to make them look phenomenal.

I love hip hop because of the power behind the movement. I feel like in hip hop you can really just be yourself and push your limits. The genre itself is incredible to watch and more amazing to perform, coach and choreograph.

I love contemporary because you can tell a story and the darkness behind it. No matter where you come from or who you are or nationality, race, skin colour, ability you can do contemporary dance. To let yourself go and be the movements is a feeling like no other.

My favourite thing about Cheerleading, hip hop and contemporary would be performing. To be on a stage in front of three people or twenty thousand people, it doesn’t matter. But to perform in front of an audience or put out a performance that I have created is an incredible feeling. From yelling from the coaches chairs being barely on my seat because you are watching the performance waiting for that hit zero moment or running on stage and performing to hear the athletes you coach screaming “Go Dharma, you got this” is one of the moments you cannot replace"

 What is your favourite quote:

"There is always a little girl in the stands wanting to be just like you, don’t disappoint her"
